I read my Proverb of the day today and was struck by the warning against the adulteress. Now this warning could be taken quite literally, cautioning a man to stay away from an actual woman who may be luring him away from his wife, however I fill in that word adulteress with whatever temptation or sin that is taunting me and trying to draw me away from my husband, Christ.
