Happy bday Robo!
Wednesday, March 28, 2012
While we were down in California (still here), we celebrated my father-in-law’s birthday. We all call him Robo Cop, as he was a retired police officer for Anaheim police. We love and respect this man dearly, and I am so blessed to have him as my father in law. He has raised his boys to love and romance their wives, and is one of the most meek men I know. He’s...
Wedding Partee Favors
Monday, March 26, 2012
Due to the unpredictable schedule that is our life, we usually aren’t able to make weddings, birthdays and many other special events. However, this weekend we just so happened to be able to make it out for Nick’s cousin (and mine now) Jannah’s wedding. He prepared me that it would be insane and amazing being with all the cousins. I’d met them at...
California, knows how to Partee!

Tomorrow morning I am headin out to the best coast, to Californ-I-A! Thought I’d show you what I’m packin.
My wedding outfit. We’re going to Nick’s cousin Jannah’s wedding. All of the DePartee cousins will be there, and I cannot wait for the sleepover afterwards at their house! This family is F-U-N!
A belted maxi and hat to jazz it up....
Contentment, or Lack Thereof
Thursday, March 15, 2012
The last few days I’ve woken up in a depressed state. I spend the entire day thereafter trying to figure out what I’m depressed about. What could I possibly be disappointed about? Where have I missed the mark? What am I “missing?” What am I supposed to be learning?
After a tearful attempted explanation of my feelings to Nick yesterday, I decided...
Friends. Friends. Friends.
Sunday, March 11, 2012
Yesterday, after our day in downtown Franklin, we came home and got our home ready for a cookout with friends. Nick hasn’t been able to use his grill much since he got it for Christmas, so we thought we’d make some burgers and hot dogs.
Lauren made a delicious chocolate cream pie. She’s a talented little baker.
Wildsmith cuttin’ the cheese.

Rosemary surprise
Sunday, March 11, 2012
The other day when Jeff and Shannon came for dinner, the boys were outside playing with Slate. Outside in our backyard, which we never use. There was already a little garden planted out back when we moved into our duplex, but until this week we had NO idea that there was rosemary growing wildly in it. Thanks to Jeff, we found ourselves some fresh herbs.
I’m a...
Sunny Saturday in Franklin
Saturday, March 10, 2012
If I can be QUITE honest with you guys, I’ve been struggling a little bit with bouts of being “down in the dumps.” I’ve just been feeling like I haven’t been getting out enough. Nick and I have an AMAZING life & marriage and love our time together, don’t get me wrong, but what I’m realizing more and more is that I seriously...
House Project
Tuesday, March 6, 2012
I’ve been wanting to spice up our living room for awhile now, and Nick and I talked about what we were thinking would look best. We decided some color, and an “art” piece would help to fill the bland walls. When we moved in, we were told we couldn’t paint the walls (one of the downfalls of being a renter), so we’ve improvised and have...
Netrobe Review

About a year ago my lovely friend Megan and I were talking about how cool it would be to have an iphone app that would serve as a digital wardrobe. A place where you could take photos of your own clothes, catalog those, and put together outfits with those photos. After many failed attempts, we kind of gave up on the thought. Until recently, when my lovely new friend...

So I quit my job this week...
Tuesday, February 28th, 2012
As I may have previously announced about 2 months ago (or less), I started a part time job at Forever 21. One of my favorite stores to shop in, has quickly become one of my least favorite places to spend 6+ hours in. I was very blessed to be given a job, and having the extra income was definitely a bonus, however as the shoppers started coming in heavier flows, that...
A Nashville Picker's Dream
Thursday, February 23, 2012
I’ve been needing to get out more since we’ve had a lot of good at home time, so yesterday Nick and I headed up towards Nashville to run a couple errands and wound up at an amazing antique warehouse that he’s wanted to show me for awhile. Here’s just a few snapshots of the amazingness. Mom and Nicole, you would LOVE this place. Come visit:)

A year ago today...

What a special day today is, because a year ago today, I became a fiancé. :) I can’t believe that it’s been a year since this grand adventure began, but here I am completely happily married and living in Tennessee. Who woulda thunk it?
I thought it would be fun to relive that day, and share how my lovely husband got down on one knee and asked me to...
Oregon Partee Favors
Thursday, February 16, 2012
I’m going to start doing posts titled “Partee Favors” which will be summaries of trips, days, or weeks. I needed a clever title for these types of posts, and figured this was best. I like the idea of just being able to share pictures and captions for a quick blog post that would otherwise be a novel! I got the idea from Sara at Glitter and Grace,...
Welcome Macy!
Tuesday, February 6, 2012
Well I’m almost two weeks overdue on this post, but our poor little computer is at the doctor this week, so I’m here at the library bloggin away! A couple weeks ago, our dear friends Dave & Megan came to town to visit. Dave plays in Kutless with Nick, and he and Megan hooked Nick & I up several years ago. THANK YOU! Anyway, they recently moved ...
In sickness and in health...
A couple of days ago I came down with a head cold, given to me by my husband (I can’t stop kissing him oops!). Yesterday night it progressed into a monster of a flu and I ended up fevered and achy, unable to really move from the bed to the bathroom.
It’s interesting to see how different people handle sickness. Nick makes sure he functions completely normal, and hates the thought of...

Happy Birthday Nickus!
Tuesday, January 24, 2012
My very best friend and husband Nick turned 27 yesterday. I take birthdays very seriously, and have high expectations for how they should go, so I wanted it to be the best. The plans were to have a date night with a movie and dinner at Stoney River (a WONDERFUL steak house here in Tennessee). We don’t treat ourselves to many nice dinner outings like this, so we...
