Happy Birthday Evelyn Rosemary!

I’m a few days behind on this post, but wanted to write a letter to my sweet and precious niece, Miss Evelyn Rosemary Newell.

Happy birthday sweet girl! On Saturday, June 1st you turned one year old! I can hardly believe how much time has flown. I remember sitting in the hospital last year waiting for you to join us in the world. From the moment you entered the world you were absolutely BEAUTIFUL. A lot of babies don’t look so pretty when they get here (no offense babies), but from the second you were here you have been absolutely gorgeous. We all said that you just looked like a girl. You are very feminine and pretty. You’ve held onto that, because you are still one petite and dainty little lady. We don’t get to see you very often since we live in Tennessee, but I love when we do get to talk on FaceTime. You have so much joy and curiosity for life. You seem to know who your Uncle Nick and I are, because you usually smile when we see each other on the screen. I can’t wait to hug and kiss you like crazy when I’m there in July. Get ready, you’re going to get LOTS of lovin. We hope you enjoy your pretend vegetables and cutting board, and that you can wear your pretty little onesie this summer. We think you’re the most stylin baby we know.

I love you SO much Evy, and hopefully one day we can live close to each other so we can talk and play more often. I pray that you will always know the love your family has for you, and that you will learn to love Jesus at a very young age. He loves you SO much and made you so very special. You are a huge blessing in our lives, and Nick and I cannot even explain how much we love you! You’re a real treasure to us. And hey, in awhile (and I mean awhile) Nick and I hope to bring cousins into your life to play with! Won’t that be fun? You can teach them how to do all of the stuff you’re so good at.

Miss you sweetheart, and hope we get to talk to you soon!!!

Love your Auntie Allison.
