Happy Birthday Jenna

This post is dedicated to one of my favorite people in the universe. This fine woman is someone who I’ve only recently been able to call my sister. We’ll save that “in-law” mumbo jumbo … this girl is my sister. It was meant to be, I’m sure of it.

Jenna and I are blessed to be sisters by marriage. We both married de Partee boys, and I believe we can both say we are blessed to be part of this amazing family. I cannot even count the times that Nick and I have looked at each other and said, “Gosh I wish Paul & Jenna were here.” Or “You know who would love this? Paul and Jenna.” Or “Don’t you just want to laugh with Paul and Jenna right now?” Laughing is probably our favorite activity when we’re with these two, and Jenna’s laugh is THE most contagious laugh I’ve ever heard. She makes you feel like the funniest person in the universe, and makes the activity of laughing a sport. I love this woman.

(This photo was taken the first weekend I met Jenna in 2010)

Jenna is the type of friend/sister who will listen to you go on for HOURS about what’s going on in your life, and ask you a million questions about all of the details. She’s such a thoughtful friend, and knows just how to make you feel special. Jenna is hilarious. She finds the best in life, and makes every moment spent worthwhile. Jenna is someone I can relax and watch movies with at 2PM, and she’s someone I can dance with til wee hours of the night.

Jenna, your optimistic and joyful approach to life is inspiring. You have always made me feel welcome in this family, and you’ve added a whole new level of “fun” to my life. You are someone who’s opinion I take very seriously, and someone who I know I can count on. Nick and I are so blessed that we get to call you sister, and we love you SO much.

Happy birthday sweet sister! I am SO glad you were born 27 years ago. You have only added good things to my life. I wish I was there to celebrate with you. Love you SO much!
